I’ll admit it. I am a fan.

I love a good story. Whether it’s a Marvel movie or a great Anime series, I love getting lost in a different world.

But being a fan is expensive.

There is always something to buy. A limited edition figure. A comic book. A convention ticket. A video game skin.

I call this the “Nerd Tax.” It is the money we pay to show the world what we love. And if we aren’t careful, it can eat our savings alive.

It is hard to say “no” when it’s something you are passionate about. You tell yourself, “It’s an investment! It will be worth more later!” (Spoiler: It usually isn’t).
